Environment
The most sustainable bracelet is the one you do not have to replace.
Built to be restrung.
A strung piece is a sequence of beads on a wire, which means it is meant to come apart and go back together. Restringing is a normal service here, not an exception.
Materials we can account for.
Gold vermeil over sterling, solid sterling, and acrylic beads. Where a finding is plated rather than solid, we say so on the product page instead of letting you assume.
- Beads are sold as spare bead bars and bead kits, so a lost one is a replacement rather than a whole new bracelet.
- Bases are sold separately from charms, so replacing a charm does not mean replacing the chain.
Packaging.
Packaging is sized to the piece and kept to the minimum that protects it in transit. Boxes are plain board with printed documentation rather than a plastic window or a moulded tray.
Disposal.
Gold vermeil and sterling can be recovered and reworked. When a metal piece reaches the end of its life, take it to a local collection point for jewellery or small precious metals rather than household waste.
